Honda meets garbage truck

Today Christina and I went to Frederik's school to tell his class about Denmark - we were almost finished when one of the other parents came in and asked Christina if she was ok? Christina didn't know what she was talking about, but was then told that our car was smashed.

Our Honda Pilot was parked at Bounty Street close to Frederiks school when it got its side peeled off by a Metuchen Public Works garbage truck. The driver of the garbage truck forgot to retract the arm used to empty the garbage cans, and instead dragged our 2 metric tons heavy Honda half a car length and up on the curb, leaving it with the right front wheel on the curb.

The good thing is that the driver called it in, and the towns insurance company will take care of it - but we will be missing the car to pick up a Christmas Tree and other Christmas stuff...

A.K.
