Today we rented a car and went to Daintree Rain Forest, we drove through the rain forest and walked on some short trails - it was so amazing. We had a scaredy pants with us (me), who was a little nervous about spiders, snakes and other nasty things. The kids had a blast teasing me. We saw a very big lizard (more than a meter long).
We also went on a cruise on the Daintree river in hopes to see some crocodiles, but as we found out it is the worst time of year to spot them. The water is really warm 28c, so the crocs stay on the bottom on the river instead of coming up on the riverbanks to warm up.
Just before we gave up on spotting any, the guy "driving" the boat spotted a young croc on a sandbar. It was only the head we could see and it was not big as it was only around 5 years old. But it was still cool to see crocodiles in nature - although I had really hoped to see some big ones...here it is:
After we got back to the hotel we only got a short swim in the pools, because the wind had picked up so it was cold - not in the water though :)

Det ser godt ud. Her er hundekoldt og det blæser.... og forresten slukker solen kl 16.20.
Hvis ikke det var p.g.a. Grethe´s arbejde og Marianne´s skole var vi også smuttet sydpå - men det får i lige en e-mail om senere.
